She'd snuck into Daddy's safe to get some money. She'd gotten her ticket. She'd sent Adam a message to let him know when she'd be there. She had a backpack with a few changes of clothes in it. She was wearing her big sunglasses, and her hair was tucked up under a hat. Just in case Daddy realized she'd left, and had people looking for her. Everything was ready. She'd even made as sure as possible that the weather would hold out.

All she had to do was go through that tunnel into the metal casket that would carry her through the sky to where Adam was. She drew in a deep breath, staring at the departure gate. There wouldn't be a storm. She'd checked. That much water, and electricity in the air... it hurt. She'd screamed the first time she'd been in even the slightest patch of rough weather that high up. After that, Daddy'd kept her sedated on long flights. But she couldn't do that. Not this time. There was no one to watch out for her. Even when she'd gone to Ireland, had been working alone, Daddy had sent someone to fly with her. And sent someone else out to bring her home.

She was literally shaking as she finally made her way across the terminal and handed them her boarding pass. She glared at the flight attendant who was smirking at her. What did she know? Had she ever been zapped with that many volts? If she said anything, she'd find out what it felt like.

Elle slipped into her seat and strapped herself in. Tightly. Let them all think she was terrified of falling. She'd love to fall. Anything to get out of the damned highly charged air up in the clouds.

The flight couldn't end too soon.
